Her nose is tiny and her hairline is straight. Her maroon hair hangs down to her hips when she lets it loose, but now that she is a candidate, she often wears it in a braided bun.
Whenever she can she wears one of her simple dresses for dancing so as to practice her dancing. She will also wear one of her dresses for fancy occasions and gathers. She prefers wearing simple dresses to anything else. She is 5'6" and she weighs 110 lbs.
Personality: Karenta loves dancing. She has always hoped that even though dancing is just a thing of gathers that she might become known for her dancing ability. She also enjoys working with runners and other animals, but her main love is dancing.
She is also a very carefree person and will do what suits her. She likes dance and pretty things, and she happens to not really care about which sex she likes. She is often considered to carefree by some people, including her parents, but even then she doesn't care what people say, she just says that life is a dance that must be danced to one's own rhythm, and this rhythm is hers.
She also often makes split second decisions to fall in with the rhythm of life, which makes people also sometimes distrust her ways. Often times her decisions are well made, and when she does plan, her plans are well made, though they will sometimes change on a whim.
She loves watching dragons fly their beautiful and intricate dances in the sky. She also was in awe of the volcanoes eruption because if its beauty and she just felt it was just in the swing of things.
History: Karenta was a trader's daughter, so she went from gather, to hold, to weyr, to gather. Her mother sold clothing articles that she would make from fabric that she would trade for at the weaver's craft hall. She would make the clothing at the gather or hold, or sometimes she would buy pre-made clothing to sell somewhere else. Her father sold and traded jewelry that he had either made or bought. Jewelry seems like an odd trade for a man, but it was the one he had ended up learning. Her mother's name was Kalefa, and her father was Jordant. She was the third and second youngest child in the family.
Karenta was expected to pick up a trade, and so she decided to try runner trading, but she did not make much money for the cost of "shipping" runners to their new locations. She had always loved dancing and she was always dancing in her free-time. She decided that for extra money, she wanted to first off become a really good dacer, and secondly become good enough that she could start teaching people to dance.
Her family was not really happy with this arrangement, but they let her do her own thing. What shocked them dearly was the night they found their daughter kissing another girl. They were seriously shocked. Their daughter took it lightly, like anything else, but her parents weren't sure what to do, so at first they kept it a secret. Karenta carefully explained to her parents that she liked both sexes personally and that she liked the way both men and women danced so it made her like them and did it really matter if she kissed one guy one night and a girl the next? This shocked her parent's even more. They ordered her to never ever kiss a girl again, to keep her likes a secret, and to marry the guy of their choosing.
Karenta decided that if this was trader life, then she didn't want it and she would go to where she was expected. She left all the runner's that she was shipping behind, but she had one runner that she had bought for herself with extra money. She took what little she owned, some food, and rode of in the general direction of the weyr. She bought a boat with the money she made selling her runner to take her to Canaulia weyr so that she could impress a dragon. When she arrived at Canaulia she found herself explaining why she had run away from her parents. The weyr was a first not wanting to except her because she had run away from her parents, but then the volcano blew, and they allowed her to be "searched", and the blue rider who did the "search" said that she was good and so she was suddenly a candidate.

Preferred Dragon Color: Karenta could really not give a care. She thinks golds are quite beautiful, and so are blues, and all the other pretty colors... So, just any old color...
