Tap, tap, tap. Sigh. Tap, tap, tap. Sigh. "Shardit," the pacing and sighing person finally muttered. She had done this for quite some time already, possibly ten or fifteen minutes and with every moment her face had grown darker
If there was a thing Inrika didn't like then it was inability to do anything. And that was exactly the state she was currently in. With her right hand unusable right now, no one wanted to give her anything to do. Today she had even been kicked out of kitchen for sinking in thoughts too deeply and burning some food. But what she could do when she thought that if Segan was here, they would spend time together, even if he was helping rebuilding the Weyr.
The thought about her lost beloved hurt her more than she dared to admit and because of that, she needed something to do. Because bursting out in tears suddenly wasn't in her plans not only for today but for the rest of her life.
Girl frowned and stopped pacing. Maybe she could find G'dan, that useless brother of hers and ask him to let her do something. If she tried to do something next to him, she would probably be allowed to pass. Lately, Inrika had been annoyed by the state of Candidate more and more. She wanted to have some freedom, some job to do... Maybe just a person, even if a dragon, to talk with.
For a moment she pondered returning to her room but then discarded the idea. Sitting in the cramped, small room would do no her good. She wanted to go outside and in the same time, she felt afraid of seeing the Lake again - too many memories would come to her, if she was alone. So, maybe she should find someone to spend time with? But everyone who could walk was so busy... Except her. Shaaardit.

Once more the pale but irritated Candidate was shoved into the hallway. Okay the push was gentle and encouraging, but she knew the real reason to being sent away. She had almost fainted again, no matter how many times she argued with them those dim-glows called Healers needed anyone who could work needle and thread. Jacina hated blood, hated the smell, the look ,the feel, but nooooooooooooooooooo. Someone had gone into a panic and ripped their stitches. And who was good at sewing? Why a Weaver! And she had nothing else better to do. Oh no, not a young woman like herself. So why not get her and make her work? Okay maybe she got a little pale. Who doesn't? Alright....she almost faints. Maybe she'll get over it... Nooooooooope.
Tempted to kick the door, the image of what she had to deal with came right back in such detail she swayed. Sharding blood and Healers. That was why she never became one! Taking a deep breath the young dark skinned girl began her descent down the hall. Mind finally clearing her earthy brown eyes settled on a figure pacing the halls.
" Need some company?" Her voice was hopefully, if she could get away long enough. Maybe those Healers wouldn't be tempted to make her work again.

The voice startled her slightly, so she turned around quickly to determine who had interrupted her moody pacing. But Inrika's expression brightened quickly at the sight of a dark skinned girl. Despite the way she had lived (And liked it) most of her life, lately she chose girl's company over boy's. She just didn't find a heart to flirt randomly, though, those who had earned her interest before the corruption still had as it was below her pride to let anyone know anything had changed.
"Sure," she grinned and shrugged with her good shoulder. Whatever was the other girl's reason, some company would be good, even better than that. By now, she started to remember why this girl seemed familiar. The few days she had been forced to stay with healers while they watched how she dealt with the poison in her body, she had noticed the dark skinned female few times and had questioned a bit about her, out of boredom.
"You're Jacina, right? I have seen you around the Healer's Creche... But I bet, it's not a place you or me would willingly spend time at." The last sentence was a solemn statement more than anything - she could not imagine anyone but Healers spending time there on their own free will. "Anyway, my name's Inrika," she offered a friendly smile and her name as she doubted hers would be known. Despite the small amount of people left in the Weyr, the collapsing didn't give much chance for everyone spend time together merrily. [/blockquote]

"Yeah." Blinking she didn't hide her expression of surprise. Jacina was about to ask how she knew until her eyes settled on Inrika's arm. Oooooooooooh, she must have seen her while she was helping out the Healers. Shrugging that off she tried to see if she could come up with anything appropriate to talk about. Jacina could talk about what had been a problem but it was a general problem. Everyone had that same problem in one degree or another. No, how about something else.
"So what brings you to the Weyr? Seems I got recruited to do anything possible as I have two working legs and hand." Looking at Inrika closely she could see she was of a standing age for Candidacy. Smile she placed her hands on her hips, lids lowering giving her the more feline-ish look.
"Wait, let me guess. Your a Candidate?"

She has taken Jacina by surprise with her statement, obviously. Well, Inrika was known to confuse people, either it was by mentioning something others wouldn't have noticed or just switching the subject of talk randomly (Or seemingly randomly).. But those for sure weren't the worse traits one could have and with time, people got used to them. Certainly, they were better than her brother's silent, dark attitude when he refused to speak at all. And not only now, after the corruption. Girl nearly frowned, noting to her self she had to have a serious conversation with her brother sometime soon. They were not as close as back in childhood but she still couldn't let him sulk alone. Annoying him out of it was simply too much fun.
As she came to this conclusion, the other girl started to speak and she turned her full attention back to her. But before she could even could answer, the asker her self had already nearly answered the question. Well, it wasn't hard to tell - more than half of people around her age were Candidates now because of the hope they would become new Riders of Canaulia, new generation of Heroes. She didn't like that too much. Maybe because she had hoped and worked hard to become a good Candidate for years. But then again, it was all about luck in life, wasn't it. As long as she got to keep her spot, she didn't care how many and who hatched the eggs.
"Yeah, I am. My brother and I came to Canaulia because... Well, it felt like great opportunity - new place, new people, new adventures. Looks like we all got double portion of it all, " girl said. "I would exchange it all for being happy with Segan again, though," she finished in her thoughts but her cheerful expression didn't change.
OO C: Out of muse. Sorry. ><

"Certainly does." Jacina hissed, her mind all to clear on the most recent events no matter how long ago it was. They all certainly got a double portion of whatever they thought they would get here at the new Weyr.
"I'm standing for the eggs myself. The Rider was very vague when he said 'She'll do.' I thought he meant something else. Little did I know." Chuckling she tilted her head and blinked at Inrika as if thinking. "Say, what to head out and see if we can't find a place to relax? I'm sure we both could use it, that and I'm not in the mood to be back in the Healers' hands."
OOC: Same, but it's alright 83 Maybe we can fix that XD
