Jupan had been working in the infirmary the entire morning with only a short break for lunch. She didn't have any formal training, just what her mother had taught her in their spare time, but she did what she could. A lot of the healers had been killed during the eruptions since they were the first ones to try and help others in the hold. The whole situation was horrible and sad, but people had to keep moving.

Jupan had spent the morning healing the minor cuts and scrapes people were getting from reconstructing the weyr and hold. Once in awhile a more serious wound would come through, but today it seemed like all she was dealing with was serious wounds. One man came in with a shattered ankle from where a heavy rock had fallen on him. Another was a woman that had gotten a severe gash across her stomach and had to have stitches. The worse was a man that was attacked by a wild wher. They managed to save the man, but they had to remove his left leg because it was so mangled.

So a very wary Jupan was walking back to the main section of the hold to get something to eat and rest for the rest of the evening so she would have energy to do it all again tomorrow. At least it was a pretty day out and the wind was ever so lightly blowing. She wanted to see her brother, but knew he had to be busy with other things and so she decided to not disturb him.
